OrderEase Launches Online Exclusive Feature Level

By bringing online exclusive features into your sales strategy with OrderEase, you can expect to improve inventory management by streamlining product availability and enhancing strategic control over stock levels.

Within the virtual catalog, the recent online exclusive feature enables brands to ‘toggle’ which products will only be available for wholesale ordering via the OrderEase wholesale order management portal, on eCommerce or digital platforms. While seemingly offering consumers an ‘exclusive’ time, in reality, it’s a strategic sales and inventory strategy.

For seasonal brands that haven’t moved all their in-season product to retail stores, having to deal with whether to ship products in-store or sacrifice not meeting seasonal consumer demands can be a toss-up. With online ordering, off-season products can still be offered while retaining limited shelf space for products that sell successfully at that time of year. The cost of shipping products that won’t sell is eliminated allowing brands to scale sales while offering off-season items as ‘online exclusive’ until the next year. 

Similarly, when an item is low in inventory - whether that be seasonal or a change in your catalog offering, online exclusives can sell the last products in stock without paying for shipping to stores hoping they sell. Instead of taking on that risk, online exclusives provide a wider audience and only ship items when a direct consumer requests them OR to drive wholesale customers to utilize the order management portal to place their orders. 

Online exclusives also mean you can test new products at a lower monetary risk. If you’re bringing a new item to your offering or seeing how it performs in a new geo-location, offering it online can pre-qualify or dismiss it for brick-and-mortar stores.
